EMURGO took to the main stage at more than 35 different conferences in 13 countries around the world in the second half of 2019 to showcase EMURGO’s global blockchain solutions and Cardano – the first third-generation blockchain to evolve through a research-driven approach. In 2019, EMURGO steadily increased company & blockchain industry recognition into new areas by speaking at a variety of events such as G-Star – a leading world-class major e-sports gaming conference and at a local Japanese fintech seminar alongside elected Japanese legislative representative Hideki Murai.
Coming off a great 2019 in which EMURGO developed, launched, and updated three new solutions products – Yoroi Wallet, Seiza Blockchain Explorer, and Tangata Manu – in addition to driving adoption of Cardano through partnerships & promotional events, speaking at these events was a great opportunity to further explain EMURGO’s beneficial blockchain solutions for key interested parties.

EMURGO Group CEO Ken Kodama Speaks at Fintech Seminar with Elected Japanese Legislative Representative Hideki Murai:
EMURGO CEO Ken Kodama spoke at an exclusive invitation-only seminar with an elected member of Japan’s House of Representatives, Hideki Murai, a lawmaker referred to as the right-hand man of Shinjiro Koizumi – a Japanese politician & son of former Japanese Prime Minister Junichirō Koizumi currently serving as Japan’s Minister of the Environment. Other noted speakers at this event included attorney Takeaki Miyamoto from the law offices of Japanese legal giant Anderson Mori & Tomotsune, and kabu.com Securities CEO Masakatsu Saito.
Representative Murai gave a talk titled “Recent Revisions Related To Crypto Assets.” Mr. Murai is a specialist in the field of finance and the high level of knowledge demonstrated in his presentation made it seem as if he had been in the blockchain space for many years. He explained that security token offerings (STOs) carry great potential for unlisted companies and real estate transactions. Mr. Murai also pointed out that some of the local cryptocurrency exchanges that had been hacked were putting large efforts into implementing more effective security measures. Thus, rather than simply criticize the actions of a few bad actors, the government and the blockchain industry should consider further protective measures against more sophisticated hackers.
